ANTHROPOSCENES

Maps have dramatically changed over the course of the last few decades, and I'm curious to see how they will continue to. Following the work of Tom Hegen and conducting my own geographical and anthropological research, I've found a strong interest in looking at things from a broader perspective, quite literally! I believe a simple pinch of the screen on Google Maps has opened my eyes to a lot of amazing sights until I can travel to these areas, and I'd like to showcase a few of my findings. Notice the symmetry, and how easy it is to find patterns in most of these screencaps. As humans, we choose our terrain. Geography and geometry seamlessly blend in a universe full of spheres, swirls, and surprises. Precision and chaos crash together to remind us of the everchanging world we live in, the marriage between the world we've built, and the fragility of it all.
